About Meraas

Meraas is a large holding company headquartered in Dubai, actively investing in real estate, tourism, hotel and restaurant businesses, healthcare and other sectors of the UAE economy. Founded in 2007 as a private enterprise, in 2020 the company became part of the state-owned investment group Dubai Holding, whose shares are almost entirely owned by the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Currently, the board of directors of Meraas is headed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, a member of the ruling royal family, also known as the founder and head of the largest Middle Eastern aviation holding company, The Emirates Group.
