About Nareel Island
Nareel Island (Coconut Island in English) is located in the Al Batin district, near the Al Qubeira district in Abu Dhabi. It is called so because of the large number of coconut palms on the island. A project to develop this area and turn an empty island into a real oasis and a paradise for tourists was developed back in 2007. It provides for the construction of an elite residential complex consisting of luxury villas, as well as several luxury hotels, a yacht club and a spa center.

Aldar Company has signed an agreement to develop this island with National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels (NCTH). Now, the region is still in the process of development, plans include building of residences, as well as related facilities.
