The Sustainable City Yas Island — new launch in Abu Dhabi
Aldar Properties has joined forces with Diamond Developers to create The Sustainable City Yas Island, which will span across more than 4 million sq. ft in Yas North. Similar to The Sustainable City in Dubai, the mega-development will be powered by renewable energy, allowing occupants to save up to 100% on their energy bills. The community will be focused on increasing accessibility and walkability at all levels. That being said, there will be a network of communal battery-charged buggies and bicycles available throughout the development.
Aiming to bolster eco-friendly living, The Sustainable City Yas Island will feature indoor vertical farming, recycling facilities and car-free residential clusters. Among the communal amenities will be a track and 2 arenas, basketball and padel courts, retail and F&B outlets, a nursery, a mosque, a center for autism, cycling and running tracks and much more.
Designed to be in line with the highest sustainability standards, The Sustainable City Yas Island will feature 32,291 sq. ft of retail, as well as 10 intimate clusters with 864 townhouses and apartments. The first phase of the development will offer 120 townhouses and 128 condominiums for public sale. According to the Khaleej Times, construction of The Sustainable City Yas Island is scheduled for Q2 2023, whilst the first handovers are due in late 2025.
The starting price for a condominium is AED 892,000 (USD 243,000), while a townhouse can be acquired for a minimum of AED 3,244,000 (USD 883,000). You can take advantage of 2 options of payment plans: 35/65, which includes a 5% booking fee, or 60/40 with a 10% booking fee. Please note that when choosing a 60/40 scheme, you will be provided with a 2% rebate. Additionally, Aldar Properties offers 5-years’ of free service charge to all prospective occupants.
Last year (2022) the master developer released an array of highly successful projects on Yas Island, among which are Yas Golf Collection, Yas Park Gate, Yas Park Views and Yas Acres North Bay, just to name a few.
